Olympus is a Lycian/Roman city that was located about 25 miles south southwest of Antalya and 10 miles south of Phaselis. It faces east—towards the Mediterranean Sea. It was one of the six largest cities in the Lycian League. Towards the end of the first century BC, pirates controlled the city but they were subdued by the Romans in 78 BC.
