Arnon Gorge

View of the Arnon Gorge that is located east of the Dead Sea in modern Jordan. Its modern name is the Wadi Mujib.

To the north of this wadi is an area that Israel and Moab both claimed—the Medaba Plateau (Mishor). To the south of the Mujib/Arnon was the old heartland of Moab.
