Watch Tower

In the center of the image is a very well constructed and maintained “watch tower.” Note how the fields have been cleared of stones (used as fencing) and trees and vines have been planted. Behind the tower the hillside has not been plowed or planted for the bedding of the limestone there is not conducive for such activities.

Just below the tower a girl dressed in red is actually drawing water from a cistern!
