Battering Ram

One of the very few preserved elements of a battering ram from antiquity. It is made of bronze and is not as big as one might expect. It is only about 6 in. [15 cm.] high! Note the decorative “ram’s head” on its side. It is from the Classical Period—the fifth century B.C.
