Drain

A well–preserved drain located at the north end of the basilica.

This version of the form dates to the reign of Septimius Severus (ca. AD 200). It may rest on earlier—Herodian—foundations.

Compare the drain found in Jerusalem by the Pool of Siloam in Jerusalem.
