Lion's Gate (St. Stephen's Gate) (Lions)

View of a detail of one of the pairs of "Lions" that flank the "Lion's Gate." These "lions" were originally heraldic emblems of the Mameluke sultan Baybars, and where incorporated by Suleiman the Magnificent into the gate.
