Madaba Map Jerusalem

The center piece of the Madaba Map is the elliptical city of Jerusalem. The view is from above and from the west looking east. North is to the left, east at the top, and south to the right.

It depicts Jerusalem as it appeared in the sixth century when the map was laid down.
