Model of Temple Complex

View looking southeast at the August Temple complex.

In the right of the image is the Tiberius Gate with its three arched-entrance way from "Tiberius Square" (not in the model).

In the center of the image is the Temple to the Roman Emperor Augustus. The plaza in front of it is 210ft. wide and 280ft. long. The temple itself is set in front of a semi-circular, two-story, portico.

This whole complex was the religious and political center of the city.
