Freestanding Tomb

View of one of the monumental free standing tombs in the necropolis of Hierapolis. The tomb was designed in such a way so as to represent a temple or a house.

Note the doorway: threshold, doorposts, and lintel. Also note, the undecorated freeze and the gabled roof with a circular shield in the pediment.
