View of the interior of the dome of the fountain that is located at the north end of the hippodrome. In the dome, there are two monographs that are alternately repeated. One the monograph of Kaiser Wilhelm II and the other the tughra of Sultan Abdul Hamit/d II.
In 1895 the German Kaiser Wilhelm II visited Istanbul and provided funds to have this fountain built.
