Modern Harbor

Modern harbor at Behramkale (ancient Assos).

Toward the end of his third missionary journey, Paul boarded a ship here at Assos and set sail for Mitylene, Kios, and eventually Miletus (Acts 20:15). The ancient harbor, submerged, is located beyond and to the left of the modern harbor.
