Capitolium Exterior

View of the outer wall and podium of the so-called "Capitolium" at Alexandria Troas. This structure has not yet been excavated but measures 100 x 100 ft. [30 x 30m.]. It is located northeast of the theater and dates to the Roman Period.

In the descriptive brochure from Troas it is called the Capitolium? A Capitolium is a place—in Roman provinces—where Jupiter, Juno and Minerva (the Capitoline gods of Rome) were honored.
