Temple Church Fresco

View looking east at the apse of an early Byzantine Church that was constructed in the courtyard of Temple A. Note the remnants of a fresco on the stone wall of the apse.

There are other, much larger churches from the Byzantine Period at Laodicea, but this one is a good example of illustrating the victory of Christianity over paganism.
