Temple of Antoninus and Faustina

View looking north at front façade of the Temple of Antoninus and Faustina.

This temple still has eight monolithic Corinthian Columns standing—six in front and two on each side. The staircase leading up to it is reconstructed. Note the gray tufa on both sides of the staircase—this was originally covered with marble. The temple was converted into the church of San Lorenzo in Miranda in the eleventh century—the Baroque façade of the church behind the columns is clearly visible—it dates to 1602.
