Southwest Corner 1

View looking southeast at the southwestern corner of the western hill of Jerusalem during the Second Temple Period.

The southwestern bend in the wall is visible on the right (southwest) portion of the image. The prominent structure in the left side of the image is where some think the “Tomb of David” was/is located.

The house of Caiaphas—in which Jesus was interrogated—may have been located in this area — on the model it is represented as the housing complex in the lower right portion of the image.
